Maintenance and Guidelines

  • Ensure To wash your driveway regularly as this prevents seeds from nearby vegetation or plants settling and forming a surface weeds.

  • To prevent weeds from forming wash the seeds any before they get chance to grow!

  • Cleaning your driveway with a household pressure washer 3 times per year will keep it looking clean, fresh & sharp!

  • Do not use any solvent or acid on your new resin bound surface, these can damage or discolour the resin.

  • Soap and water is all that is needed, if stubborn oil stains, use detergent and a wire brush, lightly rub then rinsed off.

  • In case of snow or ice, do not use salt on your resin driveway, however, grit is fine.

  • Dry steering: Do not turn your steering wheel while stationary. This can sometimes cause the resin to fail, especially if stones are stuck between tyre grooves, as this causes a grinding effect on the resin. Move your steering wheel while the vehicle is moving to avoid this.

    Yes, soap and water are all that is needed. Remember to wash off when noticed as it will be easier to clean. Do not use any solvent to clean your new resin bound surface as it can damage the resin.

  • How long does resin bound usually last?

    Typically between 15-20 years or more, depending on use and maintenance.

  • Do I need a solid base to lay on?

    Yes, preferably concrete or tarmac, but some paving can be used if secure and for foot traffic only. We cannot lay on soil or stones.

  • Will it stop pooling of water?

    Resin bound can be fully permeable or semi-permeable, so it will at least reduce pooling or eradicate it completely, depending on the type of base you have.

  • Will my resin driveway prevent weeds?

    Yes, resin bound can stop weeds from growing beneath the surface. If vegetation is around, wash away any seeds that might fall onto your new surface to prevent surface weeds.

  • Can I power wash my new Resin Bound driveway?

    Yes, you can power wash up to 150 bar pressure, which is more than most household washers.
